This Merapi
trekking is graded Challenging,actual walking over 6 hours per day,hiking
altitude gain approx 1350 m.You carry you own personal belonging and provided personal
safety equipment (helmet and masker) plus 2 liter mineral water for
the day hike.If you have done "Moderate Level" previously,you then
will really enjoy this Merapi trekking trip 3D/2N.
The route is classified (3) Moderate. mostly on well-beaten paths on altitude 1680 m - 2900 m. Walk through typically highfarmland,tropical mountain forest,and sub alpine ecosystem plus volcanic zone of Merapi.We walk on soil solid path,loose rock - gravel - volcanic sand.On crux,using hand to facilitate safe progression upward on several short rocky section is required.Route is marked but the crux is not protected.
To fully enjoy your Merapi trekking, it's strongly suggested to prepare yourself at least two months prior to departure date with regular walk on basis of 3 to 4 times weekly,combine with other active sports:jogging, swimming and/or cycling,strength training and flexibility training.
