Gears

Most outdoor activity gears can be used for hiking activities on volcanoes, there are personal/individual and group/collective gears. Personal gears, most important one is trekking shoes to protect feet and walk more comfortably on trail. The shoes suit for rugged terrain, breathable is better for more feet comfort, hard sole is also better.

Other personal required gears are: warm jacket, breathable one is also better. Back pack, can be hiking backpack or trekking backpack ( normally with air back system for more back comfort ) .Walking pole useful on most sections of the soil trails, but doesn't work well on most crux and narrow deep path.

Raincoat/poncho,change of clothes, mountain sandal, extra socks, personal medicine and headlamp/flashlight are needed to be brought.Other items: sun-lotion,sunglasses,gaiters,cap/hat/balaclava/bandana are useful too.

Other very specific useful gears to be used on volcano included masker and safety gears. We see that these gears are useful on certain active volcano to filterize the gas sulphure for more comfort when gas sulphure is highly accumulated either due to magmatic activity factor or evaporation effect after rainfall.Safety goggle is also useful for eyes protection from dust, and strong wind.

Group gears on 2D/1N hiking activity such cooking gears plus tents completed with matrases and tentlamp are provided if they were not available at the base of the volcano.2D/1N hiking is possible without bringing tent, but overnight should be at Basecamp prior to longer hike on next early morning ascent - descent 7 - 9 hours on certain volcanoes.

Other safety gears are standards, included radio communication and first aid kit plus oxygen. Sleeping bag, other extra sleeping gears: air pillow and air mat can be provided based on request.
